LAUSD teachers receive a large dose of anti-Israel propaganda

On Tuesday, April 13, the Los Angeles Unified School District teacher’s union (UTLA), hosted four panelists on Zoom to discuss the topic of “Ethnic Studies in the LAUSD: Keeping it Authentic.” During the Zoom, and without cause, a pro-Israel Jewish LAUSD teacher, along with this writer, was kicked off the discussion.
This is a systemic pattern of anti-Israel "education" by UTLA, which The Israel Group first reported in 2017.
The panelists of this discussion included: Celine Qussiny, an American for Muslims-trained activist who glorifies leaders of the terrorist organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP); Guadalupe Carrasco Cardona, a member of the Socialist political organization, Union del Barrio, is one of the writers of the 2019 model curriculum that referenced the Palestinian resistance to the state of Israel as an example of ethnic studies in action; UTLA President Cecily Myart-Cruz, who, according to Fox News, accused "wealthy white [sic] and Middle Eastern parents" of stalking union members on social media; and Dr. Theresa Montaño, a teacher in the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at California State University, Northridge.
The panel was also hosted by Raza Ed Committee of UTLA and sponsored by the Human Rights Committee of UTLA.
According to Canary Mission, Celine Qussiny, who is also presently a leader of the Palestine Youth Movement, has disrupted Jewish events while screaming violent epithets into a bullhorn like: “Intifada, Intifada — Long live the Intifada!" During the discussion, she referred to Zionism as a genocidal practice. Qussiny wrote a letter to Tony Thurmond, the State Superintendent of the California Department of Education, opposing the current revisions of the California Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. In the letter, she states that “Pro-Israel interest groups should not be able to override the work of Ethnic Studies Scholars in determining what should be incorporated into the Ethnic Studies curriculum.” She further rejects the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism as “outdated.”

armed female Palestinian soldier with all of Israel turned into Palestine.
In another post, Qussiny writes that her youth group recognizes “Zionist Settler-colonialism as an inherently gendered project.” She also wrote that they “must stand against all forms of misogyny and violence against women as part of our broader liberation struggle against Zionism,” but made no mention of honor killings of women in Gaza and by the Palestinian Authority.
